Brutal Water Test: X-Pac + Cordura vs. Twill 420D

At Maze Fathom, we believe in creating gear that thrives in the real world. That’s why we put the Urbano Travel Backpack through an extreme water jet test, pitting X-Pac VX07 + Cordura 420D against Twill 420D to see which material truly stands up to the elements. When we say durability, we mean it! 💦

Why Water Resistance Matters

Whether you're caught in an unexpected downpour, navigating a city during the rainy season, or traveling through unpredictable weather, your backpack needs to protect your essentials. Both X-Pac VX07 and Twill 420D are designed to handle wet conditions, but how do they compare under extreme water pressure? We put them to the test! 🚀

The Extreme Water Jet Test

We blasted two versions of the Urbano Travel Backpack—one made with X-Pac VX07 + Cordura 420D and the other with Twill 420D—with a powerful stream of water to simulate heavy rain and extreme conditions. The goal? To push the limits of both fabrics and see which one offers superior water resistance and durability. The results? Watch the test video and see for yourself! 👀💥

Which One Stood the Test?

While both materials are built for resilience, X-Pac VX07 is known for its laminated, multi-layer construction, making it highly water-resistant and ultra-lightweight. Cordura 420D adds extra abrasion resistance and toughness, ensuring long-lasting durability. On the other hand, Twill 420D provides a classic fabric performing better than I expect.
